Geraldine Frisch’s pictorial world is fuelled by her experience as an architect, as a woman of the building trade. The fascinating world of the building site as a place where something new is created, as a place where creativity is given concrete form, is for her an overflowing cornucopia. For her, as she herself puts it, the building site becomes a pictorial site. Through the pictorial, the motif becomes something different, something new, it detaches itself, according to Geraldine Frisch, from the conditionality of the structural environment.
